There will be a "Langimalie 2010 Winter walking & Aerobic Exercise family fun day event" organized and operated by 'Langimalie Exercise Instructors' Association" on behalf of the THS PHO community outreach Health programme.
This event has been discussed and planned from the begining of this year.
There will be lots of activities UP, AROUND AND DOWN, SINGING, HAKA ,WAR DANCE ,KICKING , BOXING ,WALKING AND ZUM - BAABAA FOR EVERYONE on :
Date : Monday, 7th June 2010 ( Queen's Birthday)
Time : 8.00am
Venue : Langimalie Onehunga Health Centre, 29 Hill St, Onehunga
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE EVENT:
EVENT: Please see attached Events Poster (after walking there will be a combined Aerobic exercise, and three choices of indoor and one outdoor venues for the different exercise groups. There will be 4 Exercise Instructors assigned to each group
CHURCHES & GROUP PARTICIPANTS: There will be 19 churches and Community group who have confirmed they will be participating,
WEATHER: If the weather plays up, don't worry, we have plans to take care of the event if it rains. There will be a combined aerobic exercise in the main hall where the exercise and meeting are always running, the first group is for those who are physical fit and Pila Tomu (Langimalie Exercise Instructor ) will be shaking them up there! The second group will be having low impact exercises in the middle room where the mobile bus is usually parked. The third group will be at the diabetes centre and that is for elders who are over 70 years old.
SAFETY: Auckland City Council Safety Measure Regulation application has been approved (e.g)
- Marshalls will wear Hi Viz Vests and give direction or assist walkers who need help (Marshall teams have been formed, and two from the association have been nominated to supervisor 8 or 10 Marshalls)
- Marshall will carry cellphones at all times
- 8 First aid Certificate holders will take care of minor emercencies ( Two R/Ns will supervise this team)
- Mashalls will keep people together to avoid participants wandering into traffic and to lessen impact on general public
REFRESHMENTS:
Hot & Cold Drinks, Milk, Milo, Tea, Cofffee provided please bring your own favourite breakfast cereal or otherwise a banana or apple.
PARKING: On street parking at Hill St, Princess St, Fleming St etc. Parking inside Langimalie Carparking is not allowed. (Must keep clear for assembling the walkers)
Please bring your family, and invite your friends and neighbours to come and cerebate the Queen's birthday with us. The events is free to take part.
